About

HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccination is important for preventing certain types of cancers and genital warts in both men and women. It also helps reduce the risk of precancerous conditions. Indications and contraindications are determined by a licensed physician.

What's included

Gardasil 9 protects against nine strains of HPV: 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58 — most commonly associated with cervical cancer and genital warts.

The vaccine does not contain live viruses and is administered in three doses over a period of 6 months:
  • First dose: Day 0
  • Second dose: After 2 months
  • Third dose: After 6 months from the first injection

Contraindications:
Gardasil is not recommended for individuals with blood clotting disorders such as hemophilia, thrombocytopenia, or for those taking anticoagulant medications.

Duration of Protection:
Long-term studies have shown that vaccinated individuals still maintain protective antibody levels 15 years post-vaccination.
