X-ray
Lumbar Dynamic X-ray
About
X-ray imaging of the lower back performed during movement (typically in positions of maximum flexion and extension) to assess vertebral stability and detect occult mobility or displacement. Purpose of the examination: To detect spinal instability (pathological segmental mobility); to diagnose spondylolisthesis (slippage of one vertebra relative to another) that manifests or worsens only under load or during movement; to assess the range of motion in the lumbar spine in cases of chronic back pain; and to monitor the condition following spinal surgery.
