Stool
Stool Test for Helminth Eggs and Larvae, Protozoa and Cysts, with microscopy (fecal parasitology)
Preparation
In consultation with your doctor:
- Discontinue iron supplements, probiotics, and antibiotics 2–3 days before the test.
- Do not use laxatives or rectal suppositories.
Collect the stool sample in a special sterile container.
Deliver the sample to the laboratory within 2 hours unless otherwise instructed.
