About
Oral glucose tolerance test measuring the blood glucose response to a glucose load; used to diagnose diabetes and impaired glucose tolerance.
Preparation
Do not eat for 12 hours before the test; still water is allowed. Avoid physical and emotional stress for 30 minutes before the test. Do not smoke for 30 minutes before the test.

1) Draw 1 — fasting glucose; 2) glucose load 75–85 g; 3) Draw 2 — glucose 2 hours later
