Measures glucagon, a pancreatic hormone raising blood glucose. Used to investigate glucose disorders and rare tumors.
Preparation
For children under 1 year, do not feed for 30-40 minutes before the test. For children aged 1 to 5 years, do not eat for 2-3 hours before the test. Do not eat for 12 hours before the test; still water is allowed. Completely avoid medications (as agreed with your doctor) for 24 hours before the test. Do not smoke for 3 hours before the test.
