Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before the test. Do not eat for 2-3 hours before the test; still (non-carbonated) water is allowed. Avoid physical and emotional stress for 3 hours before the test. Unless directed otherwise by a doctor, collect the sample in the evening between 22:00 and 24:00, ideally at 23:00.
