About
Examination of the sample to detect abnormal, precancerous or cancerous cells.
Preparation
- It is recommended to schedule the examination at least 5 days after the end of menstruation.
- Abstain from sexual intercourse and avoid using vaginal suppositories/gels for 3 days before the examination.
- Do not douche.
- On the day of the test, clean the external genitalia with water only.
