Amino Acids Blood Analysis (valine, leucine, isoleucine, glycine, phenylalanine). Measures amino acids and/or acylcarnitines to screen for inborn errors of metabolism and assess metabolic status.
Preparation
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before the test. For children under 1 year, do not feed for 30-40 minutes before the test. For children aged 1 to 5 years, do not eat for 2-3 hours before the test. Do not eat for 8 hours before the test; still water is allowed. Completely avoid medications (as agreed with your doctor) for 24 hours before the test. Avoid physical and emotional stress for 30 minutes before the test. Do not smoke for 30 minutes before the test.
